Ariane-friendly (and unfriendly) food guide

Severe Allergies:

  • Shellfish (ALL types, very severe allergy)
  • Dairy (milk, butter, yogurt, cheese, casein, whey, etc. ALL dairy products from cow, goat, or otherwise)

Must also avoid:

  • Gluten and grains (wheat, barley, kamut, spelt, oats, quinoa, teff, etc.)
  • Yeast, alcohol, coffee
  • Apples, pears, pineapple, kiwi, mango, banana, fig, eggplant
  • Beans/legumes/lentils/fava beans
  • Walnuts/pecans
  • Spicy food/black pepper
  • Very fatty food
  • Chocolate, mint, citrus

Things I can eat a bit of (like a couple chunks is ok):

  • Squash, sweet potato
  • Zucchini, pepper, tomato, potato
  • Cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, celery
  • Vinegar

Things that I like and can eat (yes, there are some)!

  • Chicken, turkey, fish
  • White rice and anything made from it (rice noodles, etc)
  • Other starchy things: tapioca, jicama, moderate amounts of turnip
  • Vegetables: any kind of greens, cucumber, fennel, mushrooms, olives
  • Fruits: berries, peaches, coconut
  • Random: ginger, sugar/honey/syrup/agave, herbs, olive oil
